The name "Yeson" is a combination of words "Ye" which means art in chinese character and "Son" which means sound in french.  Together, Yeson means an "Artistic Sound."

The center started its operation in Spetember of 2003 and since then, there has been continuous progress in its pursuit of excellence, be it in medical advancement, surgical innovation, research, even book and paper publication.  They are in collaboration with numerous oraganizations to further bring forth their services closer to people not only in South Korea but even internationally. 

Yeson Artceum is the first specialized medical examination center for voice in Korea.  They provide accurate evaluation, scientific and objective diagnosis, guidelines for voice improvement, and program to detect and prevent voice disorders.  The center is equipped with the largest diagnostic facilities for voice examination.  They have three computerized voice analysis equipments, two aerodynamic examination equipments, two digital laryngeal stroboscopes and nasopharyngoscopes of Kay Elemtrics.  They have also introduced high speed vocal cord color filming equipment and phonokinetic evaluation for the first time in Asia. 

Examinations done at the Artceum includes wide range of clinical evaluation for voice: Psychoacoustic Evaluation, Phonatory Aerodynamic Test, Speech and Voice Acoustic Study, Voice Range Profile, Rhinolaryngeal Stroboscopy, Nasometer II, Screening Language Evaluation, Phonatory Pattern Screening Test, and Multichannel Phonokinetic Evaluation System. 

Various voice disorders are seen in Yeson Voice Center.  The specialists are well trained to best evaluate and diagnose Vocal Fold Paralysis; Dysphonia secondary to Vocal Cord nodule, Vocal Cord Polyp, Vocal Cord Cyst, Granulomatous Laryngitis, Reinke's Edema, Sulcus Vocalis, Laryngeal Papilloma, Laryngeal Cancer, and Laryngopharyngeal Reflux ; Spasmodic Dysphonia; and Functional Dysphonia.  The faculty are also highly specialized to perform different procedures using state of the art and up to date equipments.  Percutaneous Injection Laryngoplasty, Microlaryngeal Surgery, PDL Laryngeal Surgery, Voice Feminization Surgery and Botox Injection are done in the center.

Furthermore, there is also a Voice Management and Rehabilitation Program for voice professional users. 

Living up with the core values of the center and unending service to patients in search for a clear beautiful voice, Yeson Medical Center is also an active participant of the Medical Charity Promotion. They aim to let the world know of Korea's excellent medical techniques and to give aid to patients from developing countries whose economic condition is not good enough to get medical treatments.  This is organized by the Korea International Medical Association and all treatments are made free of charge.  The center also provides its contribution to the society by supporting different organizations like Green Children Association, Sung Jeong Culture Association, Yeson Medical Society and providing a Medical Internship Support.
